Day 1
Kampala To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
You set out early with your guide on the nine to ten hour drive from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi. There are short stops along the way at the equator monument for photographs and the balancing experiments staged there, then lunch at the Igongo cultural museum in Mbarara city. After lunch the road climbs into the Kigezi highlands and runs on to Bwindi, where you stay overnight.

Day 2
Gorilla Tracking In Bwindi
Breakfast is early because you must be at the visitor centre by 07:30am for the briefing on the rules and on which gorilla family you are likely to visit. You are put into a group of eight and hike into the forest, spending one hour with the gorillas once they are found, then return for lunch and a rest. The afternoon offers a choice of two activities: a nature walk to the waterfalls or a village walk. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge.

Day 3
Return Transfer To Kampala Or Entebbe
After breakfast you leave Bwindi and drive back towards Kampala. Lunch is taken in Mbarara and there is a second stop at the equator. If you are flying out the same day you are taken on to Entebbe airport instead.
