Day 1
Entebbe to Fort Portal
The trip opens with the transfer from Entebbe to Fort Portal in western Uganda. Travellers check in at a lodge on one of the crater lakes that fill the volcanic country around the town.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Tracking and the Bigodi Wetland
The morning is spent tracking chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, which takes between two and four hours. The afternoon is a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, led by a community guide.

Day 3
Chimpanzee Habituation Day
A full day is given to the chimpanzee habituation exercise, which allows up to four hours with a chimpanzee family still being habituated to people. It is a longer and less predictable day than standard tracking, since the family is not yet settled around visitors.

Day 4
Crater Lake Hike and Return to Entebbe
The last morning is a hike around the crater lakes near the lodge. The group then transfers back to Entebbe.
