Two days of gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park run out of Rwanda rather than Uganda. Starting and finishing at Kigali International Airport cuts the road time to three or four hours across the border, against a much longer drive from Entebbe or Kampala. Day 1
Arrive Kigali And Cross To Bwindi National Park
You land at Kigali International Airport, meet your guide and set off by road for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site in south-western Uganda. The drive takes three to four hours, crossing the border, and brings you to your accommodation in the Ruhija sector. Dinner and overnight are there.

Day 2
Gorilla Tracking And The Return To Kigali
You must be at the visitor centre for 07:30am, when guides brief you on the gorilla rules before leading the group into the forest. Time with the gorillas is limited to one hour, which still leaves room for plenty of photographs and for watching how they feed. You return for lunch and then drive back to Kigali city.
